I just booked my vacation flight to Washington D.C. to see family and friends.  I had accumulated award mileages from credit cards and frequent travel, but that is not cheap airfare ticketshow I got those cheap airfare tickets to the nation's capital.  You can get cheap air fares many different ways, but you have to choose the options that fit your lifestyle and spending budget.  You cannot just get a awards credit card and just start spending to earn budget air fares online. 

A great way to book flights with cheap air fares is to do it early.  Since I am a student and winter break can be a range of dates, I can work with flexible dates.  So I looked at the dates offered by different travel agencies and venues and chose budget air fares that I thought were reasonably priced.  The key is to do the whole flexible dates deal as soon as possible.  I booked my cheap airfare tickets yesterday and those deals were gone by the time I checked this morning. I was able to score cheap airfare tickets after all.
