Sometimes You Can Get Very Lucky with Cheap Airfare Tickets |

Getting cheap airfare tickets is still possible, but it's a hit and miss search for cheap air fares. The time it takes to look for them is worth it, however. We recently book a flight for $295 that would have cost $1,500 if we'd taken it a day earlier, so there are budget air fares out there. It helps to be flexible with your dates and times to take advantage of low rates like that. Almost always budget air fares are much cheaper than driving a long distance. Fuel is expensive, and so are hotels. Eating on the road costs money too, and then there is the time it takes to get somewhere. Flying really is the cheapest way to get from Point A to B, as long as the trip is long enough. We used to fly for drives 300 miles or less, but not anymore. We are now driving those distances because there is no cost savings, unless we can get a really great deal on cheap airfare tickets. We haven't had any luck so far with short distance fares. |
